Gender Identity in Healthcare
August 2, 2018 @ 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Gender identity is quickly becoming an industry-standard practice and is important as we work to continually improve the patient experience at hospitals to provide a welcoming, all-inclusive environment for those we service. Our panel of experts will be discuss important topics including: defining important LGBTQ concepts and terms; understanding the relationship between stigma and LGBTQ health disparities; how they collect patient’s preferred gender identity; and describing best practices in LGBTQ health related to effective communication, data collection, and creating an inclusive environment.
FREE of charge, but space is limited.
This event is eligible for 1.5 hrs of Face-to-Face (Category I) credit. If you have any questions regarding this program please contact Megha Kachalia at firstname.lastname@example.org
